What is The Woolen Mill Experience?
The businesses of the Old Woolen Mill in Kingston would like to extend an invitation to the Kingston community at large to attend our inaugural “Woolen Mill Experience” event on May 15th, 2016. Join us from 11am to 3pm for lunch, tours, art, music, and our first open-house style venture to showcase the residents and the building itself. This century-old heritage building that has been refurbished and maintained over the decades is seated on the banks of the Cataraqui River, lending beautiful panoramic views of the Inner Harbour. Parking is free, lunch is provided, and the historical significance – priceless!
The Event Details
The event on May 15th also serves to benefit the Kingston Kiwanis Club, who have organized a charity barbecue and will be providing musical entertainment. Artists and artisans will bring their products for browsing, antique trucks will be present for your viewing pleasure, and the Kingston Rowing Club will have their boats on display as you tour the building to learn of the Woolen Mill’s history, tenants, and architecture. We want to show you why we have so much pride not just in our location, but in Kingston itself.
The Participants
There are a great variety of companies that operate from within this 134-year-old building (constructed in 1882) from small businesses, individuals, and organizations, to local offices of larger enterprises. Out of the 40+ businesses that reside here, you can find many different branches of service from accounting, to architecture, to fine dining, a climbing gym, a luxury spa, personal training, massage therapists, corporate management, I.T. and more!
So Much to ENJOY!
Enjoy these many things the businesses of downtown Kingston have to offer, and be sure to enter our raffles to win one of several door prizes provided by the residents. It is guaranteed to be a day of fun, food, and local culture, so stop by to see what Kingston’s Hidden Gem has to offer.
